I was raised in my parents workshop and art gallery on top of the windy cliffs of Kahakuloa, Maui. My family has been practicing and refining the fine art of sculpting in the West Maui Mountains for over 60 years. Through their gallery and sculpture garden they share this experience with travelers from all over the world. My father taught me how to use a grinder when I was twelve years old, and since then I have been studying under him, learning his artistic ideals and practices. With his guidance, I have adapted and refined my own personal style.

My current work emphasizes the distinctive allure of natural materials, focusing on enhancing their innate qualities to shape elegant forms. Each sculpture embodies a flowing rhythm, visible from multiple viewpoints, allowing for a dynamic interaction with the observer. I prioritize the use of sustainably sourced materials, often repurposing diseased or dead trees, thus providing them a renewed existence through art. I aim to create art that enhances its surroundings, promoting a calm and elegant atmosphere. Each piece is designed to connect with its environment, encouraging harmony between the artwork and nature.
